Internatinal Students

Welcome to the Chasefu Theological College page. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to visit our page. Chasefu Theological College is the first higher education institution owned by the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) and was established in 2007. Over the years, we have grown significantly and have gained recognition as one of the leading theological colleges, both locally and internationally.

At Chasefu Theological College, we pride ourselves on our unique RARE (Responsible, Accountable, Relevant, Ethical) value system, which sets us apart as a rare college. We place great importance on producing graduates of high moral standing, who value humanity, respect public resources, and uphold ethical principles. To instil these attributes in our students, we have a mandatory course called “Sustainable Behaviour in Society.”

Prospective students and sponsors can be assured that our industry-tailored programs make our graduates highly sought after by employers. Choose to study with us and benefit from our well-stocked library, furnished hostels, serene learning environment away from the city, and a team of highly qualified and experienced academic and administrative staff ready to assist you.

Additionally, Zambia is known for its peaceful and friendly atmosphere, making Chasefu Theological College a welcoming home away from home for students. Having had personal experiences studying both in Zambia and abroad, I understand the transformative power of studying in a different country. It not only exposes you to diverse cultures but also helps you discover your true potential. Congratulations on choosing to embark on such an enriching journey. Wishing you the best as you explore our website and select the program that suits you best.

Where is Zambia?

Zambia, located in South-Central Africa, is a landlocked country bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola. Lusaka, situated in the south-central part of Zambia, serves as the capital city. The majority of the population is concentrated around Lusaka and the Copperbelt Province.

Zambia covers an area of 752,614 square kilometers (290,586 square miles) with a population of 17,894,354 million as of January 2019. The country is primarily a plateau, with altitudes ranging from 1000m to 1,360m above sea level, except for the Mafinga Hills located near the border with Malawi. The landscape is mostly flat, with occasional hills.

Languages

The official language of Zambia is English, but there are more than seventy-three (73) indigenous languages spoken. Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, Lozi, Lunda, Kaonde, Tumbuka, and Luvale are among the main local languages.

At Chasefu Theological College, we prioritize international students and strive to provide them with the best academic and personal experience. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the renowned Zambian hospitality with the support of fellow students, lecturers, and the local community.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees for international students are the same as those for Zambian students, with only a slight difference in the application fee. The university offers accommodation options for students, both self-catering and non-self-catering, on a first-come, first-served basis. Foreign students are given preference, and accommodation can be booked once 50% of the term fees have been deposited.

CTC Library

Our library is well-stocked with relevant reading material, including books and e-resources that support the current courses offered at the college. We continuously acquire new books to enhance our collection and ensure we meet the needs of our students.

Study Permit

If you are a non-Zambian planning to study at Chasefu Theological College, it is essential to obtain a study permit. Study permits are granted to foreign nationals who intend to study at recognized learning institutions in Zambia, such as Chasefu Theological College. The application process should be completed before traveling to Zambia, and the institution will assist in this process.

We look forward to welcoming you to Chasefu Theological College and offering you a fulfilling educational experience.
